About Rick Carlson

Dr. Rick Carlson, Heart and Mind Counseling.Strength and Focus

My strength is in helping people to clarify their situation and issue(s), to identify positive and appropriate options, and to take positive steps toward their goal of wellness and well-being.

My therapeutic approach is solution-focused and short-term. People who come to me for counseling should expect an average number of sessions ranging from 3 to 7. Some people may benefit from a different approach, and I will not hesitate to make appropriate referrals, when indicated.
